About Kent Zapata, CFO

I began my career as a senior accountant at KPMG, a global finanical services company. With a solid foundation in accounting and audits I transitioned to the private sector and started an exciting journey into business financials. Over the years I held increasingly senior roles including Finance Controller, Corporate Controller and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This journey has exposed me to virtually all aspects of finance and accounting from the perspective of an employee, a manager and a strategic leader.

I’ve been a CFO in multiple business sectors: real estate, manufacturing, retail, service, and technology. This broad industry experience helps me develop creative solutions to complex issues. 

I’ve led organizations, and finance and accounting teams through unique and challenging phases: start-ups, high growth, recession, mergers & acquisitions, equity investments, enterprise software integration, etc.

I love the variety of work and enjoy the challenge of helping businesses grow and succeed.
